Amazon Owes You for Your Damaged Inventory

Did you know that the Amazon may owe you hundreds of dollars?

Amazon manages all the inventory of FBA vendors. However, despite their own control, unexpected situations can happen to inventory.

Amazon has a policy to refund the seller if the failing party is him. But the problem is that FBA sellers don’t always get this money back automatically as it should be.

For this reason, FBA dealers should go to their accounts and check if their inventory that is damaged, lost or completely unavailable is processed into the vendor accounts.

How Will You Use Amazon Reports to Get Your Money Back?

Have you ever looked at the report settings section in Seller Central? It’s a very overwhelming place. Many vendors probably have no idea what it is and why you should use it. There are many sections in this section such as Stranded Inventory, Reserved Inventory, Inventory Adjustments.

The good news is that some of these reports can really help you borrow Amazon.

Finding Damaged Inventory

Amazon warehouses are huge places, and the products of FBA vendors are managed by many machines and people. For this reason, it is inevitable that the products will be damaged while in the preparation warehouses of Amazon.

Inventory Adjustments Report is especially important for damaged inventory.

Get a step-by-step refund for damaged products:

Go to Reports, select> Fulfillment> Inventory – Show More> Inventory Adjustments.

Select Damaged & Timeframe of choice (choose a 365-day slice or start timeframe from account start date)

Copy and paste the resulting data into a worksheet. (This example uses Google Docs.)

Sort the data in your table by FNSKU code.

Delete the queues that are “Damaged at Amazon…” and “Transfer to holding…”. These indicate that products are being refunded automatically.

Just delete the queues that are “Transfer at holding…”.

After editing your Worksheet, save the file as .CSV.

Create a new claim file by going to the Help> Contact Us section of Amazon.

Select Selling On Amazon> FBA Issue> Other.

Write an email to Amazon asking you to check the products you specified in the .CSV file.

Attach the CSV file and send your email.

You will receive a response from Amazon in less than 12 hours.

Your refund will be made in 3-4 days.
