Apple is on the agenda with patent infringement

While technology giants make innovations in their products and services, they can also come up with patent violations. In particular, Apple has been having problems with this issue many times.

Finally, there was a dispute between Apple and a company called PanOptis about patent infringement. PanOptis claimed that its patents were used by Apple without permission in its 4G LTE studies.

4 companies, including PanOptis, claimed that Apple violated 7 different patents in the 4G LTE field. In particular, Apple was brought to court for unauthorized use of related patents on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch devices. As part of the court decision, Apple was sentenced to $ 506 million in prison. This compensation penalty was calculated according to the sales revenue of Apple devices and a fair distribution was tried to be made.

It is already being wondered whether Apple will appeal to the higher court. PanOptis firm also filed a $13 million patent infringement lawsuit against Huawei.
