The blockchain system will be used for employees in South Korea. The Korean Internet and Security Agency named KISA will be the first institution to use this system.
Blockchain identity for government employees
Blcockhain-based systems are being developed in many countries for the security and privacy of employees and public institutions. An important step has been taken for this purpose in South Korea.
Korean Internet and Security Agency employees will use a blockchain-based identity system. Thanks to this system, which is much more than identity verification for employees, it will be possible to benefit from the opportunities within the institution in a digital way. For example, transactions such as access to cafes, borrowing books from the library can also be provided through this blockchain-based identity.
This system, which will be used at the headquarters until October, will be in use in Seoul and other offices at the end of the year.
Kim Seok-Hwan, who serves as the president of the institution, said he hopes the system will not only increase employee comfort and safety but also authenticate in processes with relevant organizations.
