China begins digital Yuan distribution
Going digitalization in its own official currency, China is also expanding its tests in this context. In order to warm the citizens to digital Yuan in daily use and test the situation during use, China will distribute digital Yuan.
Digital Yuan will be awarded to 100 thousand lucky people with the draw to be held in Suzhou. With the draw, which started on December 5th and ended on December 6, 200 yuan worth about $ 30 will be given to each of 100,000 people.
The results of the draw will be announced on December 11th. However, advantages will be provided for users in the Double 12 Online shopping festival. Distributed digital yuan will be available on December 12-27 at select stores in the city and in giant online stores such as JDCom.
With this lottery, China aims to get citizens used to the digital Yuan and to solve possible problems that may arise during the use of digital Yuan.
In Suzhou, similarly, 50,000 lucky people had previously distributed digital Yuan worth approximately $ 1.5 million.
