Defense industry company tackles cyber attack
Today, even defense industry companies, where security is kept at the highest level, can be helpless in the face of cyber attacks. One of the last examples of this happened in India.
The company, which operates in different fields from defense industry named BEML operating in India to rail systems, was cyber-attacked on May 25. In an attack by a hacker whose identity is still unknown, sensitive data of 7 employees of the company were reached.
In fact, the hacker changed the mail codes of the employees and gave them the passwords of “FreeKashm! R” and “GoToHellBJP !! 1”. Sensitive data of these employees were published on Dark Web. This cyber-attack experienced by one of the biggest defense industry organizations in India shows that there are still many deficiencies in cybersecurity.
