The Facebook surveillance board, announced by Zuckerberg about a year ago, took office. The decisions taken by the board will be able to neutralize even Zuckerberg.
Facebook surveillance board established
Facebook, which constantly comes up with issues such as data breach, follows a new strategy. Even Zuckerberg’s decisions can be neutralized with the transparent management strategy.
One year ago, Zuckerberg announced that an oversight committee would be established within Facebook. This supervisory board, consisting of 20 people, is now in office. The supervisory board includes people who have achieved significant success, such as former prime minister and Nobel owner, who have nothing to do with Facebook.
Decisions made by the Facebook board can now be directly overseen by the supervisory board. The supervisory board has powers to ignore decisions taken by the board, in particular, restricting censorship and freedom. Thus, even Zuckerberg’s decisions can be rejected by the supervisory board.
The board, which currently has 20 people, will increase to 40 in the coming period. In addition, a $130 million trust fund is also allocated to this board.
