Switching to the remote working model with the pandemic, Google postponed the remote working application until September 2021. In addition, according to an e-mail sent by Google CEO to employees, the company will test a new layout with employees to make the flexible working model permanent.

One of the innovations that the coronavirus pandemic has brought to our lives is the remote working model. Almost every company that has the opportunity today carries out their usual operations remotely. US-based tech giant Google is one of them, and the company is now starting to experiment with a new remote working model. If this model is successful, the flexible working model will become permanent for Google.

Google was one of the companies that switched to remote working model during the pandemic process. Employees have been at home for a long time, and the company has announced that the remote working system has been extended until September 2021 with its latest statements. Not satisfied with this, Google will create a flexible work schedule for employees and test how sustainable this program will be.

Google employees will go to the office for three days, work from home for two days

According to the new program prepared by Google, employees will go to the office only three days a week. In the remaining working days, everyone will be at home. The final decision will be made according to the testing process of this hybrid operating model, announced directly by Google CEO Sundar Pichai. If Google employees are satisfied with this situation, the system will become permanent.

In an e-mail sent to his employees, Pichai states that such a hybrid model will be shaped by the well-being of the employees. Stating that no company as big as Google has been able to operate in such a way, Google’s CEO argues that it would be extremely interesting to test such a system. The pandemic, which has cost the lives of more than 1.5 million people, seems to have added great innovations to our lives, as well as what it took from our lives.
