Social media service Instagram is going through some design revisions to make the stories feature, which is consumed heavily on mobile devices, work more easily on the web application.
Convenience for those who want to watch stories on the web
Accordingly, users who will enter Instagram via the web application will now be able to see the stories of the accounts they follow on a carousel. That way, they’ll be able to experience a more similar experience to that on mobile devices.
It will soon be clear whether this new feature, which is currently in the testing phase, will be permanently implemented. However, it is not possible to deny that Instagram now attaches much more importance to the web application, which has been neglected for a long time, or even taken seriously.
By focusing on the laptops of the masses who started working at home with the pandemic, it took urgent measures to make the application work healthier on the web browser on Instagram. The Web application has become very useful with the Discover tab and the opening of the messaging feature. However, it is still not possible to post posts/stories on the web.
