Instagram has decided to expand its application called Threads, which it announced last year. The developers who update the application make Threads show not only messages from close friends, but also messages from all other users.
Instagram, the photo and video sharing platform owned by Facebook, announced a new application called Threads last year. This app was described as Snapchat in Instagram at that time. Users were able to interact and speak with their close friends better, especially with Threads. However, according to the last update, Threads becomes a messaging application that you will be in contact with from now on.
Updated iOS and Android versions of the Threads application reveal what innovations the application has gained. According to the information in the App Store and Google Play Store, users will be able to communicate not only with their close friends but with everyone else by using Threads. In other words, Instagram’s out-of-the-box direct messaging app, Direct, can now be used as a feature inside Threads.
As a matter of fact, the messaging section in the Instagram application allows what you can do in the Threads application. Threads were improving your messaging experience with other users. With the latest version, users will be in contact with both their close friends and everyone else via Instagram. Developers continue to keep Threads’ spirit of communicating with close friends by separating incoming messages with a second inbox tab they have added to the app.
This is what Threads’ new inbox tab looks like
As you can see in the image above, users will see two different inboxes when they enter Threads from now on. One of these inboxes will contain close friends assigned by users. In this way, you will be able to see the messages you receive from your close friends in one section and the messages you receive from other users in another section.
