TikTok headquarters can be moved to London
TikTok, the world’s largest social media platform, owned by the China-based company ByteDance, has achieved great success on a global scale. With this success, TikTok aims to move its headquarters out of China.
ByteDance aims to move the headquarters of TikTok to another country outside China, especially due to the oppressive policy implemented against Chinese products and services in many countries. According to information shared by Reuters, the new address of TikTok’s headquarters may be London. ByteDance can even separate TikTok from the company and turn it into a US-based managed company.
Many countries are afraid that the Chinese government is putting pressure on TikTok and accessing user data. For this reason, various usage bans are applied against TikTok in many countries, especially in the USA. One of the biggest bans for this purpose came from India, where TikTok was the most sought after. The fact that more than 611 million downloads belonging to 30 percent of TikTok’s total number of downloads belong to Indian users may leave TikTok in a difficult situation with this prohibition.
