Surprisingly, it was stated that Jack Ma’s resignation will be valid on 25 June, when the annual shareholder meeting of SoftBank Group will be held. No explanation was made regarding the reason for Jack Ma’s resignation.
However, it is said that Jack Ma’s departure from Alibaba and turning towards a more stagnant life in terms of career may also be effective in this resignation.
SoftBank Group was among the biggest supporters of Alibaba. SoftBank Group, which invested 20 million dollars in Alibaba in 2000, had 25.1 percent of the company’s shares. With these shares, the total share of SoftBank Group in Alibaba exceeds $ 100 billion.
With the resignation of Jack Ma, 3 new members are expected to be appointed to the board of directors.
