Kucoin cyber attack
There has been a serious increase in attacks on cryptocurrency exchanges in recent years. Hackers steal cryptocurrency assets from these exchanges by logging in with your track.
Kucoin, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, was also hacked. In particular, attackers attacking hot wallets lost 200 million dollars worth of cryptocurrency assets.
It is stated that nearly $20 million of the stolen crypto money assets are USDT crypto money, and close to $153 million are BTC, ETH, and ERC-20 based cryptocurrencies.
Usually, cryptocurrency exchanges find it difficult to pay back users after the attack. However, it is stated that thanks to Kucoin’s previous establishment of an insurance platform, the losses of the damaged investors will be covered. Kucoin, which is currently in communication with 22 different crypto money exchanges, is trying to prevent the sale of stolen crypto money assets.
