LinkedIn announced a new feature for recruiting candidates’ communication skills and social skills before the first meeting. LinkedIn is also working on an AI-powered instant feedback feature.
LinkedIn, a professional social sharing platform aimed at communicating information and exchanging information with other people and institutions, has made an announcement about new features. According to the announcement, the video promotion feature is being tested in order to evaluate companies’ candidate quality in recruitment.
This new video promotion feature will enable companies to evaluate the communication skills and social skills of their candidate employees before the first meeting. With the new feature, the recruiter will be able to send an invitation to the most qualified candidates when they receive a job application and select two questions from a list of questions. Among them, “Tell us about yourself”, “What is your strongest feature?” or questions such as “Describe your most challenging project”.
Candidates will be able to respond via video or text:
Candidates will be able to reply to this invitation in video or in writing, if they wish. LinkedIn will make this feature optional to reduce pressure on candidates applying for jobs, and candidates will be able to record their video responses again and again as they wish before posting.
On the other hand, LinkedIn has announced another feature. This new feature is an artificial intelligence-based instant feedback tool for job seekers to test and improve their interview skills. This tool helps jobseekers by analyzing speech content and structure.
Job seekers will apply to this tool after recording their answers aloud and the tool will analyze the sound and make an assessment. This feedback reports features such as speech speed, how often fill words are used, and sensitive words that should be avoided.
