TikTok continues to cause reactions around the world. While the USA threatened to ban TikTok for commercial and political reasons and took the US operations of the application from China, now TikTok has been banned in Pakistan.
TikTok is everyone’s trouble
It was announced by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) that access to TikTok from within the country was blocked. The reason is that the videos shared in the application are not suitable for Pakistan’s values and culture.
PTA also emphasized that they asked TikTok to remove these contents and a warning was sent, but no response was received.
According to the law passed in Pakistan in March, internet services that contain content that is illegal in the country must remove the illegal content.
TikTok, on the other hand, announced that they regularly meet with PTA and are trying to solve the problem.
