REvil hacking group continues its activities
Revil, one of the most dangerous groups in the software world, continues its cyber attacks without slowing down. Revil, who previously threatened US president Trump, this time attacked a well-established company.
According to the statement, Revilz attacked the 150-year-old company named Brown-Forman. In the statement, it was stated that this team targeted the cloud-based services of Brown-Forman, which includes important brands such as Jack Daniel’s. It was learned that the cyber attackers had access to the company’s system for more than a month.
In addition, in this 1-month period, the team managed to leak enough that almost all of the company’s systems and devices were out of use.
Brown-Forman announced that it was quickly intervened and this attack was prevented. However, Revil reports that he stole 1 TB of data from the company and will use it to get ransom from the company. It is emphasized that Revil provides comprehensive access to data from in-house conversations to personnel data.
Brown-Forman, on the other hand, states that the legal process has been initiated and that the necessary precautions were taken by agreeing with a data security company very quickly. Revil says the company will approach it with common sense and make the payment. However, we will see if this can be done or not.
