Online music platform Spotify announced that it has started a new campaign. Users who will become a member of Spotify for the first time from June 30 until today, will be able to use the premium driver for 3 months free of charge.

Although the coronavirus outbreak affects the entire world, online platforms have a positive impact on the number of active users. Aware of this situation, Spotify launched a remarkable campaign to gain new subscribers.

Spotify, which has experienced a decrease in revenues due to the virus outbreak, will offer a premium subscriptions to its users who have subscribed to the platform until June 30 for free for 3 months.

Wanting to compensate for the decrease in advertising revenues with new subscribers, Spotify announced its new campaign to include users who canceled their premium packages all over the world and before April 14. Users who cancel their premium subscription before April 14 will only pay $3 for 3 months under the conditions they return to Spotify.

Spotify’s choice of April 14 in its campaign marks the members of the company lost with the coronavirus outbreak. One of the reports released by Spotify recently shows that people whose economic situation has deteriorated due to coronavirus have canceled their Spotify subscriptions one by one. In the published report, it was stated that one out of every 6 people who canceled the Spotify subscription in the USA was therefore unsubscribed. That’s why Spotify is trying to regain its subscribers by offering a more affordable campaign.
