Apple and Epic Games are on the verge of a major dispute. The two giant companies continue to take steps that block each other.
Apple and Epic Games clashed over Fortnie
Fortnite, one of the most popular games in the world, was removed from Apple’s app store in recent weeks on the grounds that it did not comply with App Store rules. However, Epic Games will retaliate against Apple’s move.
Epic Games said in a statement that as of August 28, access to both Epic Games’ developer tool and iOS / Mac developer tools will be terminated. Claiming that Apple is a monopoly in the industry, Epic Games is preparing to take this issue to the court.
This event, which was described as an ordinary showdown between the two companies in the first place, has now gone as far as retaliation. In fact, third-party developers are also negatively affected by this situation.
Considering that Epic Games is not only the developer of Fortnite but also the world’s most popular game engine Unreal Engin, we can say that Apple will stand out with the giants in the game industry.
