The corporate communications tool, Google Plus, was terminated by Google last year. However, Google is preparing to announce the Google Currents tool instead.
Countdown to Google Currents
Google tries to attract the attention of companies and the business world with the tools it offers for corporate communication. For this, users were provided support for a long time with the Google Plus platform.
However, Google did not achieve the success it had been waiting for on the Google Plus side. It closed Google Plus in April 2019 with a very radical decision. However, Google is preparing to publish a new tool in this area. The tool, which will be published under the name of Google Currents, will be available starting July 6.
All content of Google Plus users will be moved to the platform 5 days after the release of Google Currents.
The main focus at Google Currents is to ensure that employees and business leaders stay in touch and share. On the platform that wants to focus on exchange of ideas, discussions will be possible. Users will also be able to share links, images, and text from Google Drive.
Google Currents, currently released in beta, will be available to Android and iOS users as of July 6.
